PROJECT 1

Our first, and main project is to promote and bring peace between the Janesville police and the African American community. We will always work to bring the two groups together, and stride to build trust.

PROJECTS

PROJECT 2

AALAC will be planning town hall meetings to allow the residents of Janesville to positively express their concerns, and feeling about the Janesville Police Department.

PROJECT 3

Community outreach is a very important part of the AALAC. The committee will be doing mentoring programs to give back to the community, and promote a positive image showing that African Americans can work together with the police and achieve a goal.

PROJECT 4

AALAC is continually training and educating our members on how officers handle all kinds of situations. From welfare checks, to mental illness related calls, AALAC is working to understand how the officers are supposed to properly handle the calls, and who the proper people are to contact for these situations.
